You know there's a wind advisory when...

You're rapidly decelerating while pedaling downhill.

The dirt roads are finally (FINALLY!) free of ice, so I took the opportunity to go riding outside (for the first time this year, since I lack studded tires). The lack of available daylight and high winds made it a short ride (only seven miles) but it was much-needed.

Also, late winter colors suck. Everything looks like mud, even if it isn't. Why can't we have the pretty fall colors year round?

Went for a 19 mile slog Saturday morning myself. Started off going north and west (against the wind and generally uphill) for 1:15. Made it back (south and east and generally downhill) in <45 minutes. It was wonderful. :)
